We had so much fun at our Encuentro Flamenco 2012, and now we're ready to have even more fun at our Encuentro Flamenco 2013!
Join us for our
weekend of Encuentro Flamenco! Activities start on Friday, September
13th, and all weekend events will take place at Caló Dance Studio (1963
Hosea L. Williams, Atlanta Ga. 30317)! We'll have a movie night on
Friday night, chocolate and wine tasting events on Saturday, and all
kinds of fun classes and a big party on Sunday! There will also be a silent auction, including fine jewelry and Wedgwood pieces.
You can purchase a pass
for any individual activity or for multiple activities, or you can buy a
weekend pass for ALL of the the Encuentro Flamenco activities during
the weekend and save $45!

We'll
get things started with another special "Movie Night" at Caló Dance
Studio where we can all sit back, relax with a glass of wine, and enjoy
being with friends while watching another great film about flamenco!
This time, we will will be viewing:
Camarón "When Flamenco Became Legend" (2005)
This
movie tells the true-life story of Camarón de la Isla (Jaenada), the
legendary Spanish flamenco cantaor who many consider to be the greatest
flamenco singer of all time. The film covers Camarón's life and his
music, from Camarón's humble beginnings to his meteoric rise in the
flamenco world and his untimely death in 1992. The movie also explores
the important personal and professional relationships that Camarón
developed throughout his life that left a lasting impression, not only
on Camarón, but also on the entire world of flamenco -- including his
relationship with his wife La Chispa (Sánchez) and his professional
relationships with guitarists Paco de Lucía, Tomatito, and Paco Cepero
that produced some of the most groundbreaking work that the flamenco
world has ever seen.
Saturday, September 14th, 6:30pm- "Sip Around The World" - a Wine-Tasting Event
Caló Gitano is proud to be partnering with our new neighbor, Savor Wine
Boutique, to offer you the very best artisan wines on the market for
this tasting event!
The tasting will be an international "Sip Around The World" that
includes 6 varietals of wines, sparkling wine to get started, tasting
notes, and a consultant to guide us all through the tasting process!
We're also planning some awesome wine pairings to please your palate!
Additionally, Savor willl be providing wine-themed door prizes! You
won't ant to miss this wonderful evening where Savor Wine Boutique
will truly be bringing the tasting room to US!
